The rise of recognition in Charles Jeffery, the creativity and talent behind LOVERBOY label, will undoubtedly sore through the roof with his artistic collection. A designer that is branded as the new Alexander Mcqueen for how his collections connect with every person.
Dazed have classed Jeffrey as ‘the ringleader of London’s next generation of club kids’ and his mark on the fashion industry is only getting bigger.
To the lead up to his success, he previously studied at Central saint Martins working for a BA in Fashion Design. But this was a moment in his life that changed his name from a student to a designer to watch. Using the venue Vogue Fabrics in Dalston as his birthday destination, it was after where he became one of the most talked-about happenings in London, he began the LOVERBOY series to fund his MA course at CSM.
There is an endless list of accomplishments that Jeffery has undertook. From being a stylist, his has worked for numerous fashion publications. Being a Senior Contributing Editor for LOVE pushed his creative boundaries to have more context than could of imagined as he has previously worked on the Creative Direction of a Vivienne Westwood archive story for AnOther Man, Maison Margiela retrospective shoot (in collaboration with John Galliano) for LOVE, as well as stories for Buffalo Zine and CANDY.
He has given us a taste of his designs for the high street life, showing us three seasons as part of Fashion East's MAN line-up in partnership with Topman. His SS18 collection, was out of this world and one to try to top off. The reason we like his work is in the name of his label… We just bloody LOVE it.
