RIBBONS of MATRIARCHY

In Ribbons of Matriarchy, femininity is not presented as something fragile or ornamental. It becomes structural, protective and deliberately excessive. Through sculptural silhouettes, cascading ribbons and domestic objects placed within a surreal studio landscape, the editorial imagines matriarchy as an inherited language carried through clothing, ritual and everyday movement.

Photographed by Raffaella Bichiri and styled and designed by Consuelo Guevara, the series transforms familiar signs of care into symbols of authority. A bicycle, a woven shopping basket and arrangements of fruit evoke the routines of domestic life, yet nothing here feels passive. Each object becomes part of a visual mythology shaped around labour, responsibility, memory and feminine power.

Ribbons of Matriarchy is a conceptual fashion editorial photographed by Raffaella Bichiri, with styling and design by Consuelo Guevara. Featuring model Cassie Green, the series explores matriarchal power, domestic labour, femininity and inherited identity through sculptural clothing, ribbons, fruit baskets and surreal studio photography.
