FROM FUTURE SS26 Finds Its Rhythm in Rio de Janeiro
Photographed by Brazilian image-maker Gleeson Paulino, the FROM FUTURE Spring-Summer 2026 collectionrelocates the brand’s chromatic knitwear to Rio de Janeiro, where heat, movement and optimism become part of the silhouette.
FROM FUTURE travels to Rio de Janeiro for Spring-Summer 2026, bringing its signature cashmere into direct conversation with fluid dresses, swimwear and light summer layers.
Rio does not appear simply as a postcard or decorative setting. It operates as a temperature, a rhythm and a way of seeing. Tropical light sharpens the campaign’s colours, while the city’s coastal openness gives each garment a sense of movement. Bodies stretch, lean, rest and interact with the landscape, allowing the clothes to feel lived in rather than formally presented.
Photographed by Gleeson Paulino, the campaign captures a collection built around colour, physical freedom and the pleasure of dressing without excessive restraint.
Summer, rewritten in cashmere
The campaign’s opening proposition is immediately clear. A yellow knit carrying a tropical motif is paired with pink swimwear and positioned against a turquoise surfboard. Materials and garments traditionally associated with different climates are brought into the same frame.
Cashmere is no longer treated only as protection from cold weather. It becomes cropped, lightweight and exposed to sun, sea and skin.
This seasonal contradiction is central to FROM FUTURE’s approach. Rather than abandoning its signature material for summer, the brand considers how knitwear can change when its weight, proportion and context are reconsidered.
The Spring-Summer 2026 collection places these lighter knits alongside fluid dresses and relaxed separates. The result is a wardrobe that moves easily between beach, city, interior and evening.
A red cropped sweater is styled close to the body, while blue knitwear appears against bare skin and carnival-inflected accessories. The contrast prevents cashmere from feeling overly precious. It becomes immediate, physical and responsive to the person wearing it.
Rio as a living colour system
Blue moves continuously through the campaign.
It appears in the Atlantic, in the open sky, across a fluid floor-length dress, in sports shorts and against the surface of a surfboard. The repetition creates a visual connection between garment, body and location.
Yellow functions differently. It carries the heat of the city, appearing in both knitwear and a long dress photographed against Rio’s shoreline. Pink brings softness and irreverence, while red concentrates the collection’s energy into a single, body-conscious statement.
Green enters through sport-inspired styling and tropical references, connecting the collection to the natural and commercial textures of the city.
These colours do not operate independently. They move between clothing, architecture, water, sky and skin. The campaign feels cohesive because the location is allowed to influence the palette rather than merely contain it.
Through the eye of Gleeson Paulino
The decision to work with Gleeson Paulino gives the campaign a perspective grounded in Brazil rather than an imported fantasy of it.
Paulino’s photographic practice moves between fashion, identity, culture and landscape. His images frequently combine contemporary realism with a dreamlike emotional register, creating scenes that appear spontaneous while remaining carefully constructed.
For FROM FUTURE SS26, he photographs Rio through closeness and sensation. Faces enter the frame at intimate distances. Sunlight falls directly across skin. Figures are caught between performance and pause, allowing the images to retain the energy of a fashion campaign without becoming emotionally distant.
A close portrait of two models almost touching removes the city from view but preserves its heat. Elsewhere, the ocean and skyline open the frame completely. This movement between intimacy and scale gives the campaign its rhythm.
The city can feel expansive in one image and intensely private in the next.
Between beach, street and interior
The collection travels through several versions of Rio.
There is the beach, represented through swimwear, surf culture, open sky and coastal movement. There are sunlit interiors where dresses and knitwear gain a warmer, more intimate quality. There are street-facing moments in which architecture, tiled surfaces and saturated colour become part of the styling.
A fluid blue dress introduces length and calm into the campaign. A yellow dress carries a similar sense of movement but appears brighter and more exposed against the coast. These elongated silhouettes are balanced by abbreviated knitwear, swim briefs and athletic separates.
The contrast between coverage and exposure feels deliberate. Clothing is not organised around one fixed idea of summer dressing. Instead, it responds to different states of the body and different moments of the day.
The final carnival-inflected imagery intensifies the collection’s celebratory language. Embellishment, blue feathers and vivid knitwear meet in a frame that feels playful without abandoning the campaign’s focus on design.
Optimism expressed through movement
Optimism can become empty when fashion communicates it only through bright colour. In this campaign, movement gives the idea greater substance.
The clothes are shown through raised arms, leaning bodies, physical closeness, dance and moments of rest. Even the quieter portraits retain a sense that something has just happened or is about to begin.
The campaign’s energy comes from participation. Models do not appear isolated from their surroundings. They interact with objects, architecture, landscape and one another.
This allows FROM FUTURE’s colour to feel emotional rather than purely decorative.
Airy textures and relaxed shapes contribute to that sense of ease, but the collection avoids becoming visually passive. Strong contrasts, cropped proportions and saturated tones keep the images direct and contemporary.
FROM FUTURE in motion
FROM FUTURE SS26 remains connected to the brand’s established vocabulary of colour, natural materials and expressive essentials, but Rio changes how that vocabulary is read.
The collection feels warmer, less contained and more physically immediate. Cashmere becomes a summer material. Dresses respond to air and movement. Sportswear and swimwear enter the same visual world as refined knitwear.
Rio gives the campaign more than its setting. It provides the conditions through which the collection makes sense.
The result is a portrait of summer defined not by escape, but by presence. Heat is felt, colour is intensified and clothing becomes part of a wider exchange between body, city and light.
