Who says romance can be predictable?

The new high street collection - Erdem X H&M

Waiting for what H&M pulls out of the bag in terms of their collaborations, always seems like a decade too long. From the show studded past collaborators, it has to be said this was one of the most anticipated ones yet. London based designer Erdem Moralioglu teamed up with H&M and looking at their collection together, it was one that was easily wearable for all trendsetters and style influencers.

Erdem has a flare, that not many designers can carry off. His inspiration comes from what he sees and invisions with his own memories, designed signatures and what all city folks secretly love… The countryside. Erdem said “It is very personal. The collection reinterprets some of the codes that have defined my work over the past decade, and it’s also inspired by film, music… things i loved growing up”.

What can we expect from this collection? If you haven’t already been refreshing the H&M homepage since it came out, then most likely your new favorite designers collection will be one you will get green eyed over. Coming out on 2nd November, it is now available both online and in 220 worldwide stores. So it is about time you get hunting for that tea party tweed set. The sharp tailoring throughout the pieces screams silhouette, whilst the feminine florals are an interpretation of his catwalk collections saying how he has always been fascinated by femininity “I’ve always been fascinated by the language of femininity, whether it’s lace or flowers or aesthetics of beauty” says Erdem.

For H&M, Erdem went into designing a wardrobe that was versatile for the woman and man (yes, for the first time ever, a collection for men). Think romantic meets modern. As much as I would love to buy multiples of each piece in the collection, I have to put the selfishness aside and remember others have to shop as well. For matter of a fact, ERDEM x H&M purchases are limited to a maximum of one of each item per person. This applies to all items in the collection including accessories, shoes and bags.

Happy shopping and et's hope your bank balance agrees with your style. We can blame it on Erdem. It isn’t our fault we like to look pretty.
