FADING AFTERNOON
Fading Afternoon occupies the moment when memory begins to lose its hard edges. Inside a historic house, warm ochre, aged walnut and soft cream hold the last light of day, while black tailoring gives the figure a restrained, almost ceremonial presence.
Photographer, creative director and stylist Sareh Bamdad builds the story through small shifts in posture and distance. Stevan Journey sits beside a window, crosses a quiet room and pauses at a piano as if moving through scenes recalled rather than lived. A cream scarf interrupts the dark wardrobe with the softness of an afterimage.
The house never becomes a period set. Its worn surfaces and muted colour allow time to feel layered, with the present resting gently against what came before. Fading Afternoon is less about nostalgia than the unstable act of remembering, and the beauty that appears when certainty begins to blur.
Fading Afternoon is a fashion editorial photographed, directed and styled by Sareh Bamdad. Featuring Stevan Journey, the series explores memory, solitude, historic interiors and the soft light between presence and recollection.
