Gabrielle Rosenstein Builds a Sci-Femme Utopia with SS26 Collection PLUR
Peace, love, unity and respect become wearable forms of optimism in Gabrielle Rosenstein’s vivid new collection.
There is a particular kind of optimism that refuses to behave quietly. It arrives in sugar-rush colour, polished metal, tiny crystals, rubber, glass and characters that appear to have escaped from an alternate dimension. For Spring Summer 2026, artist and designer Gabrielle Rosenstein channels that optimism into PLUR, a collection rooted in the rave-era principles of peace, love, unity and respect.
Available now through the designer’s website, PLUR is presented as both a celebration of girlhood and a portal into a softer, stranger world. Yet beneath its playful surfaces sits a more deliberate proposition. Rosenstein turns joy into a kind of armour, creating accessories that appear sweet and humorous while retaining the industrial tension that has long shaped her visual language.
The collection feels especially resonant at a moment when lightness can seem difficult to access. Rather than retreat from that heaviness, Rosenstein answers it with fantasy. Her clouds sparkle. Her miniature figures cling, fall, float and guard. Beads become planets. Keys transform into relics. The emotional vocabulary is whimsical, but the craftsmanship remains precise.
From Digital Characters to Physical Objects
Known for her hyper-stylised depictions of the female form, Rosenstein began as a 3D artist and illustrator before extending her characters into physical design. That transition continues to define her label.
Her accessories occupy a space between contemporary jewellery, collectible sculpture and wearable character design. They are not simply decorative additions to an outfit. They operate as fragments of Rosenstein’s wider universe, carrying the visual codes of sci-fi femininity into the physical world.
PLUR deepens this relationship between analogue and digital processes. Rosenstein describes the collection as her most “hand-touched” body of work to date, with analogue paper-doll imagery placed inside a three-dimensional environment. The result is a deliberate collision of old and new methods: hand-beading meets 3D printing, satin strings meet steel components, and traditional glasswork sits beside futuristic forms.
This contrast gives the collection its character. Nothing feels entirely nostalgic or entirely technological. Instead, PLUR moves between the intimacy of handmade objects and the sleek artificiality of digital creation.
The Cloud Choker and Cloud Earrings
Clouds have long served as a reference point within Rosenstein’s creative process. Watching forms emerge from the sky, cream swirl through coffee or shadows shift across a surface allows the imagination to project its own meanings. In PLUR, that process becomes jewellery.
The Swarovski Cloud Choker transforms a soft, temporary shape into something structured and wearable. The 3D-printed form is finished in sky-blue satin, embellished with Swarovski crystals and positioned on a stainless-steel cuff. It is dreamy in appearance but architectural in construction.
The coordinating Cloud Earrings continue this tension. Their asymmetrical design presents the cloud as a small sculptural object, complete with crystal detailing, steel inlays and backing. Rather than rendering softness literally, Rosenstein gives it weight, polish and permanence.
These pieces encapsulate the collection’s wider idea of soft armour. The cloud remains playful and emotionally open, but it is supported by metal and produced through a highly controlled design process.
A Cosmos Made by Hand
The Lil Cosmos Necklace offers one of the collection’s most expressive combinations of colour, texture and symbolism. Rare hand-blown Venetian glass, Czech glass, rose quartz, fire agate and tiger eye are threaded along a red satin string, finished with Rosenstein’s signature Lil character.
The necklace began with the discovery of Venetian beads in a local shop. Their planetary appearance became the foundation for a miniature cosmic system, transformed through hand-beading into a wearable constellation.
Produced in extremely limited numbers, Lil Cosmos is available in three colour stories: red as heart, grey as moon and green as earth. Each version carries the irregularity and individuality of its materials, placing historic glassmaking techniques within Rosenstein’s futuristic world.
The piece also reveals the collection’s emotional centre. PLUR is not interested in perfection stripped of personality. Its value comes from evidence of touch, selection, assembly and imagination. Each gemstone and bead becomes part of a private universe.
Relics, Keys and Clinging Characters
Elsewhere, Rosenstein expands PLUR through objects that feel part accessory, part talisman.
The Key Relic Necklace features a snake chain, miniature signature key, lock and spiral-detail relic pendant. The Sugar Key softens this motif through white rubber, fused matte-glass beads and a satin string. Both suggest access, secrecy and transformation, as though each object belongs to a world with its own mythology.
The lighter keychains introduce a darker humour. Clingerina, a ballerina-shaped holder, wraps herself tightly around the object she carries. Fallen Angel appears to have crash-landed, her wings curling protectively around a flame. Punisherintroduces a spiked black form that turns an everyday object into something theatrical and slightly threatening.
Each is 3D printed, sanded and polished by hand, leaving small variations that reflect the making process. These imperfections are not concealed. They reinforce the collection’s central interest in craft revival and personal labour.
PLUR ultimately proposes joy as something constructed rather than passive. It takes time, experimentation and care. Through beads, crystals, plastic, steel and strange little characters, Gabrielle Rosenstein creates a world where cuteness does not signal weakness and fantasy does not require escape from reality.
This is the utopia Rosenstein once expected to inherit. For SS26, she has decided to build it herself.
