Global Fashion Collective at London Fashion Week FW26: Four Designers, One Runway at Protein Studios

Global Fashion Collective’s London Fashion Week FW26 showcase at Protein Studios Shoreditch brought four designers onto one runway. The night’s most poetic note came from ALEX S. YU’s “a flicker of murmur,” before Dunne Cliff explored “clothing as essay,” Olena Adam refined modern ceremonial dressing, and SAYF delivered “Excellence” through elevated streetwear.

ALEX S. YU opens the story with “a flicker of murmur”

ALEX S. YU’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection, “a flicker of murmur,” felt like a quiet narrative unfolding inside a loud city. Presented at London Fashion Week with Global Fashion Collective at Protein Studios Shoreditch, the collection traced a return to childhood memory, anchored by the idea of a hidden urban forest that once became an entire universe for a young explorer.

The palette moved like recollection: earthy burgundy and rich brown grounded by black and white, punctuated with flashes of indigo that landed like a sudden detail you did not know you remembered. Oversized plaids, soft volume, and relaxed silhouettes carried a warmth that avoided nostalgia, instead building a present tense intimacy. Imaginary companions were subtly woven into the fabric of each look, a motif that made the styling feel personal rather than performative.

If there is a throughline to the collection, it is this: tenderness as structure. Nothing was trying too hard to be “fashion week loud.” The mood was confident enough to remain understated, and that restraint is exactly what made it land.

Dunne Cliff FW26 London Fashion Week runway look featuring handcrafted knitwear and textured silhouette

Dunne Cliff and “clothing as essay”

Emerging Canadian designer Allison of Dunne Cliff presented a collection rooted in craft, philosophy, and time. Built around the brand ethos of “clothing as essay,” the work explored tension rather than resolution: heritage versus innovation, humour versus history, and the constant swing between opposing ideas.

Handcrafted knitwear and meticulously constructed pieces acted as both narrative and medium, turning garments into wearable meditations on technology, memory, and what could be. Texture and silhouette did the speaking: thoughtful forms, considered proportions, and an embrace of imperfection that felt intentional rather than unfinished.

Olena Adam FW26 runway look featuring the Festan silhouette and modern ceremonial womenswear at London Fashion Week

Olena Adam, modern ceremonial dressing with the Festan at its core

Olena Adam’s womenswear offered a refined exploration of modern ceremonial dressing, rooted in cultural heritage and elevated through contemporary design. The brand’s signature Festan garment, a versatile, non seasonal silhouette, anchored the story, merging Eastern fluidity with European refinement.

Craftsmanship was the message and the method: intentional construction, graceful movement, and a quiet power that framed femininity as presence and individuality, not performance. The runway atmosphere was infused by Azzi Glasser of The Perfumer’s Story with Fever 54, a sensual composition of deep florals and hedonistic spice, mirroring the show’s dialogue between strength and softness.

SAYF “Excellence”

Sinan’s SAYF “Excellence” merged cultural legacy with a modern streetwear sensibility, reinterpreting traditional Arab, African, and Asian classics through bold contemporary forms. The collection paid tribute to artisans and creators, celebrating craftsmanship as both process and purpose, with elevated detailing and thoughtful construction throughout.
